TH9 vs TH10 (two stars)

- tutorial by Eddy 2.0

In high-end wars, it can often be advantageous to have TH9s attack TH10s.  This allows for extra bully attacks (TH10s get to hit TH9s), or allows TH10s to attempt 3-star attacks.  These attacks are often made easy when enemy TH10s put up anti-3star bases, meaning that their town halls are off-centered and relatively exposed.  Usually it takes only a few golems, wizards, and heroes to reach the town hall.  Your hero levels should be at least 15/15, though 20/20+ is more ideal.

For centralized CC, it's easiest to go for percent first, then go for town hall.  This allows you to not trigger the CC until the very end of the raid.

Troop composition

  • 5 Golems (4 of your own, and CC golem)

  • 4 Wallbreakers (One more than needed to break your intended wall)

  • About 15 troop space of Archers/Minions (depends on bases)

  • About 18 Wizards (Rest of your troop space)

  • Spells:  Jump, Heal, Rage, Rage, Poison

Start by placing archers and minions on trash that is out of range of any defenses.

Work your way around the base wherever there is easy trash, using a golem to tank while a couple wizards take care of the trash buildings.  The golems survive for quite a while, so you don't need a wizard for every building - just a few are enough.

Now it's time to go for the town hall.  Usually all that's needed is to position the queen so that she can hit the TH from a distance.  It will require the remaining two golems.  The most important part now is proper funneling so your heroes can snipe the TH!  Please see the funneling 101 tutorial if you need a refresher.

Two golems, with a few wizards to create your funnel.  Archer queen in between.

Wallbreak into the compartment.  I usually carry one extra wallbreaker in case one dies to an unexpected tesla and such.  MAKE SURE that the wb area is out of range from multi-inferno towers.  As always, time them between mortar shots, and do not wall break near golems that are taking fire from wizard towers.

Now that a really good funnel is created, send in your BK, and any extra wizards you have.   Place your jump spell to get to the TH.  The goal of the jump is NOT to get into as many compartments as possible (as you do in a TH9 shatter), but instead, place jump to path your troops toward the town hall with the fewest number of off-target compartments.

Use a rage, making sure it covers the AQ.

As the first rage finishes, use your second rage (again make sure it covers AQ).  Save heal for when you use queen ability.  This way she will heal even if under fire from inferno towers, and buys you just a few extra seconds to snipe that town hall

Two star. Easy peasy.
